It’s a bag of wind – literally. Simply attach the nozzle to that of your Exped mat, ‘catch’ some air in the bag and roll it down hard, pushing the air into the mat. A regular Synmat 7 UL can be inflated in this way in under 3 pumps, under 20 seconds. What’s more, when not in use the pumpbag can double as an UL dry bag, meaning it effectively adds no weight at all to your pack. The medium is 42 litres and the large is 85 litres.
